OMG - I HAVE A JOB!

The university I orginally talked with called and offered me a temp-to-hire position with their School of Law. The job goes until the end of December, is 35 hours a week, and pays the same rate I was making in California!   PLUS, they let me know that if they find a full-time position for me before the end of ( Read more... )

Update time! Life has been dragging me down for the past few weeks, but I seem to be starting a happier path.

1. My best friend from high school came to visit me last weekend. I was so excited! She hasn't seen me since I moved out to San Francisco two years ago. Plus, it was St. Patty's Day weekend in the city - a guaranteed good time. But....

 So, there is a big film festival that happens at the university in April. Everyone is in an uproar trying to get this thing planned and running smoothly. It's my job to take in all the submissions, log them in to a system (that I created) and keep an ongoing tally of how many submissions we have in the office.

I meant to do a nice update post on my life and times and what-not, but...I had forgotten about bridesmaid duty.

My good friend from my previous job is getting married in May and asked me to be a bridesmaid. Don't get me wrong- I was flattered! I just happen to be the only bridesmaid who is not married, engaged or pregnant. 0.o

I am not going to be taking the job at my current department. I am terrified and resolved all at once. This is either a very positive step forward or I may potentially be making a huge mistake.
